I am a self-taught artist painting under the name KTRAPS (KT-RAPS), a beloved nickname from childhood to shorten my Italian last name. I live in Charlotte, NC with my husband and three boys.

Since my earliest memories, I have enjoyed creating - making collages, painting, drawing, building, and bringing ideas to life. Although I have been creating for years, I have been especially focused on abstract works since the onset of the pandemic, working primarily with acrylics as well as mixed media.

My work was featured in the 2022 Shain Gallery 4th Annual Up and Coming Artist Invitational.

My work is inspired by the relationships of color and texture – how they move and flow together along with the constancy of change and how it alters our perception, emotions and state of being. I’m deeply intrigued by the healing power of art and how the varying interpretations of the viewer work in tandem to bring creative experiences to life on and off the canvas.

My original abstract works can be recognized by their vivid colors that emerge into unique patterns. It is my hope to take the viewer on a colorful journey dotted with bold hues, surprising textures, and unexpected connections that inspire hope and joy.
